With the acceleration of China's aging process, elderly care services and industrial innovation are facing unprecedented development opportunities. This issue of "Early Warning for Elderly Care" focuses on the latest policy developments, financial standards, breakthroughs in smart elderly care pain points, cultural thinking, and technological applications, to sort out key information in the field of elderly care for you. From financial support of 500 billion yuan to the first national standard for elderly care service industry brands, from the challenges and breakthroughs of smart elderly care to the warm practice of "elderly care robots", and to the in-depth exploration of the value of elderly life by academic leader Qian Liqun - let's approach the new landscape of elderly care in China together.

Policy The People's Bank of China will set up 500 billion yuan service consumption and pension refinancing

The Information Office of the State Council held a press conference on May 7, at which the People's Bank of China, the General Administration of Financial Supervision and the CSRC introduced the relevant information of "a package of financial policies to support stabilizing the market and expectations".

Pan Gongsheng, President of the People's Bank of China, said that he would officially launch the service consumption and pension refinancing, with a total amount of 500 billion yuan, mainly to guide commercial banks to increase credit support for service consumption and pension. The new policy tool is an expansion and upgrade of the previous special re lending policy for inclusive elderly care.

Experts say that this will stimulate the vitality of service consumption and the elderly care market. On the one hand, it can further stimulate the potential of domestic service consumption, promote the expansion of service consumption supply, and boost service consumption demand. On the other hand, it can support the development of the elderly care industry and also contribute to improving elderly care security, unleashing residents' consumption potential over a longer period of time.

The State Administration for Market Regulation (State Standards Committee) recently (May 9) released and implemented the national standard for brand value evaluation of the elderly care service industry, which is the first national standard for brand value evaluation of the elderly care service industry in China.

This standard provides 46 indicators for measuring the brand strength of China's elderly care service industry from five aspects: tangible elements, quality elements, innovation elements, service elements, and intangible elements. It proposes a model, method, and process for conducting brand value evaluation of the elderly care service industry, providing guidance for scientifically and standardly conducting brand value evaluation of the elderly care service industry. The implementation of this standard will help lead elderly care service institutions to continuously improve service quality, cultivate service brands, and better meet the growing multi-level and high-quality elderly care needs of the elderly.

Viewpoint on improving the quality of smart elderly care supply

Throughout the years, the technological support capability of China's smart elderly care industry has been continuously enhanced, and the supply capacity of products and services has significantly improved. The effectiveness of pilot demonstration construction has become increasingly prominent, achieving a leapfrog development from conceptual exploration to large-scale implementation. For example, Shanghai has fully implemented the "One Click Service for the Elderly" initiative, providing personalized elderly care services from eight aspects: "medical, food, housing, transportation, health, care, nursing, and inquiry". It has been clarified that by 2025, 100 smart nursing homes and 1000 digital community elderly care service places will be built, and a number of smart elderly care application demonstration bases, demonstration communities, and demonstration brands will be cultivated. For example, Jiangsu Province actively promotes the construction of a smart elderly care service ecosystem, and some cities have established a "1+2+N" model for home-based community elderly care services. Through the operation and supervision of smart platforms, offline elderly care services are carried out to achieve the linkage of "online and offline" home-based community elderly care services.

However, there are still some issues that cannot be ignored: firstly, many elderly people have relatively low digital literacy, which limits the popularity of smart elderly care services. Secondly, there is a problem of homogenization in the supply of smart elderly care products, and insufficient personalized and precise service capabilities. Once again, industry standards have not been unified, and there is a phenomenon of "information silos" among smart elderly care platforms in various regions, making it difficult to share and exchange data; The data security protection system is not yet sound, and there are risks to the privacy protection of elderly users. We should focus on this from multiple perspectives.

1. Strengthen policy support and build a smart elderly care industry ecosystem. 2. Emphasize technological empowerment and improve the quality of smart elderly care product supply. 3. Eliminate the digital divide and create a smart and elderly friendly environment.

Culture: 'Aging is not the end, but a new starting point' - Qian Liqun's new book 'Retirement Life' triggers new thinking on elderly care

In March of this year, Mr. Qian Liqun, a leading figure in the academic community, wrote a thought-provoking work titled "Retirement Life: New Opportunities, Starting Again" in his later years, which was planned by movable type culture and published by CITIC Press.

The book 'Retirement Life' embodies Mr. Qian Liqun's experience summary and examination of his personal situation after entering old age, as well as his in-depth thinking on social, philosophical, cultural and other aspects of elderly issues.

How do you view your aging life? How to arrange one's old age? How to face the impending death? ……

The themes related to aging discussed in 'A Life of Retirement' directly address the urgent situation of China's aging society.

Retirement Life "is a collection of essays by Mr. Qian Liqun on his own and his spouse's plans and reflections on retirement life after entering old age. The book is divided into four parts. The first part is based on the author's experience of accompanying his spouse to face the process of death, discussing his thoughts and insights on life and death; The second part explores the profound significance of studying and researching "elderly care" for the elderly; The third part explores the author's overall vision for elderly life, with a particular focus on the concept of life and death; The fourth part discusses the author's thoughts and ideas on the possibility of elderly life.

Technology from caring for daily life to emotional companionship for elderly care robots, warm and happy old age

In Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, some nursing homes have multiple intelligent robots on duty, such as bathing robots, toilet care robots, and assistive walking robots; In Chongqing, wearable exoskeleton robots assist elderly people with limb dysfunction in intelligent and personalized rehabilitation training; In Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, the elderly care robot "Big Head Ah Liang" can take care of the elderly's medication, meals, and rest at any time, and can also connect a series of health management and home safety devices; In Beijing, the elderly companion robot "Xiaoli" integrates various functions such as schedule reminders, chatting, listening to music, checking recipes, emergency calls, etc., providing comprehensive life companionship for the elderly

These robots with different shapes can not only take care of the elderly's daily life, monitor their health status, assist in rehabilitation training, but also provide emotional value, bringing many conveniences to the elderly's lives.

In addition to intelligent safety monitoring, companion AI (artificial intelligence) robots have been promoted in multiple nursing homes and communities across the country. These robots can not only chat and relieve boredom with the elderly, but also have entertainment and interactive functions.

In terms of elderly fitness, elderly robots are providing scientific and convenient exercise plans for the elderly. The Elderly Sports and Health Home on Tianshan Road Street in Shanghai is a typical representative of intelligent fitness services. A professional "gym" has been created here for the elderly, with functional areas such as service consultation area, health testing area, equipment exercise area, and chronic disease exercise intervention area planned. It is equipped with aging fitness equipment such as chest push trainers and leg adduction and abduction trainers.

Ensuring good food for the elderly is also the job responsibility of elderly care robots. The community canteen of Wuzhen Intelligent Elderly Care Center in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province is full of "technological style". Cute looking robots are responsible for delivering meals, and the plates can automatically recognize food items, calculate costs, and reduce waiting time for pickup. During the dining process, the system can also provide prompts and suggestions for the selected dishes based on the physical condition of the dining elderly, maximizing the automation of ordering.

Health issues are the main concern of the elderly population, and elderly care robots equipped with modern medical technology are becoming a solid backing to safeguard this concern. When AI algorithms reconstruct the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment, bionic machinery awakens limb functions, and intelligent systems connect medical resources, the "cyber medical treatment" brought by elderly care robots enables traditional medical care to cross the boundaries of space and capability, weaving a warm and reliable health and elderly care protection network.
