Since its opening on December 3, 2011, Xi’an Qujiang International Conference Center has undergone the experience and baptism of different types and scales of meetings, and has basically formed a business model of "conferences + banquets + performances + boutique exhibitions + industry chain joint operation". With high-quality hardware facilities and professional service quality, it has won nearly 60 exhibition industry and government awards.

The exhibition center is located on the bank of the Bahe River, adjacent to the former World Expo Park. It is strategically located with a floor area of approximately 164,000 square meters. The exhibition center on the west side contains a total of twelve exhibition halls on both sides of the axis. The entrance hall is located on the north and south sides of the axis. The conference center on the east side is a light and elegant square layout building, which has both conference functions and light exhibition space.

In order to meet the multiple exhibition hall sizes of modern and future exhibitions, different exhibition hall types have been designed based on flexibility. Among them, the standard exhibition hall has an area of about 10,000 square meters and a net height of 13 meters. It can be divided into two units according to needs. The two super-large exhibition halls at the south entrance have a net height of 16 meters and an area of more than 16,000 square meters. Large-scale events can also be held.

The exhibition area of each exhibition hall adopts column-free design, which ensures maximum flexibility of use. Each exhibition hall is equipped with multiple gate supply vehicles to facilitate the transportation of goods directly to the exhibition stand.

The architectural design of the Convention and Exhibition Center interprets and responds to the ancient city walls and urban texture of Xi'an with a modern architectural vocabulary and has a high degree of recognition. The facade of the exhibition hall is made of natural stone, and the stone wall with a certain inclination adopts the formal language of Xi'an ancient city wall. Corresponding to the solid foundation, it is a light and streamlined roof design. The undulating curved roof evokes the distant memory of the flowing sand dunes on the Silk Road.

Visitors to the exhibition pass through the open plaza to enter the entrance hall space protruding from the plane of the exhibition hall, enter the interior of the convention center after the ticket office and security check, and enter each exhibition hall through the landing hall. Two parallel double-layer promenades are set between the two entrance halls, with auxiliary functions such as commerce, catering and meeting rooms on both sides. The upper corridor spans the road between the first and second phases of the project, and visitors can reach all parts of the convention center without being affected by the weather.

Xi'an has been the starting point of the Silk Road in history, and it is the important place where the Eastern and Western culture and economy of the Silk Road meet and spread. The national "Belt and Road" strategy will bring more opportunities to Xi'an. The construction and operation of the Silk Road International Convention and Exhibition Center will improve the Chanba Ecological Zone to create a jigsaw of the exhibition industry gathering area, and promote the development of the exhibition industry in Chanba and even the northwest region. .
