In order to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's reply to the representatives of the "Silver Age Action" elderly volunteers and the deployment requirements of the Xi'an Aging Committee on the "Silver Age Action" in the new era, fully leverage the positive role of the elderly in economic and social development, and assist in the new practice of modernization in Xi'an with Chinese characteristics, under the guidance of the Xi'an Aging Office, the Xi'an Charity Association has recruited a group of elderly volunteers from all over the city to carry out five volunteer service activities and create a demonstration project for the "Silver Age Action" in the new era of Xi'an. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

1、 Recruitment time

Registration begins today, and the first batch of volunteers will register until June 20, 2025 (this announcement is valid for a long time).

2、 Recruitment target

1. Elderly people with household registration in this city who are 60 years old or above (women can relax to 55 years old) and not over 70 years old.

2. Adhere to the Constitution and laws, support the Party's line, principles, and policies, possess high political and ideological qualities, and good moral cultivation.

3. Passionate about public welfare and enthusiastic about participating in volunteer service activities.

4. Possess solid professional knowledge and rich practical experience in the field they are engaged in.

5. Physical and mental health, support from family members, and basic qualities suitable for participating in volunteer service activities.

6. Able to comply with the rules and regulations of the volunteer team and complete volunteer service tasks on time.

3、 Service Content

（2） Volunteer Service for "Silver Age Grassroots Governance": Organize respected and experienced veteran cadres and party members to participate in democratic supervision, community (village) environmental improvement, changing customs, dispute mediation, and other work to promote neighborhood harmony; Organize experienced legal professionals to participate in legal aid, legal education, civil mediation and other activities through knowledge lectures, legal consultations, etc., to help the public safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.

（3） Volunteer Service for "Silver Age Cultural Inheritance": Organize retired personnel and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage with cultural and artistic expertise to devote themselves to traditional culture, intangible cultural heritage, and skill inheritance. Through organizing training, performances, exhibitions, and other activities, enhance the cultural and national confidence of the masses.

（4） Volunteer Service of "Silver Age Technology Empowerment": Organize experienced cadres and teachers familiar with the application of intelligent technology to participate in the "Smart Elderly Assistance" public welfare action. Through forms such as "transmission, assistance, guidance, and teaching", help the elderly solve the difficulties in using intelligent technology in smart government, smart healthcare, smart travel, and smart social networking, and assist the elderly in crossing the "digital divide" and integrating into smart life.

（5） Volunteer Service for "Silver Age Health Protection": Organize retired doctors and health experts to popularize health care and disease prevention knowledge, enhance residents' health awareness and level through health lectures, free clinics, and other forms of service; Organize retired athletes, coaches, and social sports instructors to use squares, parks, and other venues to carry out "scientific fitness guidance at the grassroots level" activities, popularize the concept of scientific fitness, and improve residents' health literacy.

5、 Related instructions

1. The organizer provides relevant training for volunteers participating in volunteer service activities, establishes a silver age talent information database, and builds a volunteer exchange and display platform.

2. The organizer distributes uniform volunteer uniforms to volunteers participating in volunteer service activities.

During the period of participating in volunteer service activities, volunteers do not receive remuneration. The organizer purchases personal accident insurance for volunteers.
