Recently, the 12th International Chamber of Commerce Trade and Investment Fair 2026 and the 1st China Enterprise Overseas Matchmaking Conference were held in Xi'an. This event is a core component of the "10th Silk Road International Expo" hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and a key brand event of the Xi'an branch. The conference, with the theme of "Deepening International Business Association Cooperation and Sharing Opportunities for Silk Road Development", focuses on the reconstruction of the global industrial chain and the new wave of Chinese enterprises going global, aiming to build a high-level dialogue platform that integrates "policy interpretation, resource docking, project implementation, and cross-border empowerment". At the event, the Xi'an Civil Affairs Bureau was invited to attend and promote the 4th Xi'an International Elderly Care Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Xi'an Elderly Care Expo"), showcasing the charm of the elderly care industry in Northwest China on the international stage.

At the meeting, Wang Dali, Director of the Elderly Work Department of the Xi'an Civil Affairs Bureau, represented the bureau on stage and provided a comprehensive and detailed special promotion of the 4th Xi'an Elderly Expo from three dimensions: exhibition background, previous review, and current plan. 1、 Exhibition Background: Deeply cultivating the silver hair track and creating a benchmark in the western region

In order to implement the national strategy of actively responding to the aging population and proactively layout a trillion dollar market for the silver economy, the Xi'an Municipal People's Government, in conjunction with the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, innovatively created the first government enterprise linkage exhibition in the northwest region in September 2023- the Xi'an International Elderly Care Industry Expo. The exhibition adopts a "government led+market-oriented operation" model, and introduces Guangdong Kuaicai Exhibition Co., Ltd., which has successfully operated the "Guangzhou Elderly Expo" for many years, as a strategic partner, focusing on creating a benchmark elderly care brand exhibition in the western region. After three rounds of cultivation, the Xi'an Elderly Expo has risen to become the largest and most specialized flagship exhibition for the elderly care industry in the northwest region, injecting strong new momentum into the development of Xi'an's exhibition and elderly care industries.

2、 Previous review: fruitful achievements, highlighting industrial vitality

The third Xi'an Old Expo has achieved remarkable results, laying a solid foundation for the improvement and upgrading of the fourth exhibition. The total exhibition area of the previous exhibition reached 32000 square meters, with 10 exhibition areas, gathering more than 500 enterprises and institutions to participate in the exhibition, showcasing over 5000 types of elderly care products and services, and attracting more than 100 provincial and municipal civil affairs departments to visit in groups; At the same time, more than 20 high-quality activities such as conference forums, supply-demand docking, and roundtable dialogues were held, inviting more than 200 domestic and foreign experts and scholars to share and exchange ideas, attracting 55000 professional visitors from all over the country to visit and negotiate; Leaders from the Ministry of Civil Affairs, sister provinces and cities' civil affairs departments (bureaus), Shaanxi Province, and Xi'an Municipal Government visited the site for guidance; Multiple signing ceremonies were held on-site, with an intended signing amount exceeding 3.8 billion yuan, truly achieving the core goal of "promoting communication and cooperation through exhibitions".

3、 This year's plan: Comprehensive quality improvement, diverse highlights

The 4th Xi'an Senior Expo, with the theme of "Qin style Silver Age, Enjoying Chang'an", will be held from September 17th to 19th at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center, with an exhibition scale expanded to 40000 square meters. It is worth noting that this exhibition has been included in the 2026 government work reports of Shaanxi Province and Xi'an City, and has been listed as a key work item for 2026, with a new high in specifications and influence. This exhibition will comprehensively improve quality and efficiency, focusing on five key areas to create a more professional, innovative, and beneficial event for the elderly care industry.

Highlight 1: Full industry chain coverage, more professional exhibition layout. The exhibition scale has expanded from 32000 square meters in the third edition to 40000 square meters, with ten professional exhibition areas including government groups, international elderly care, smart elderly care, and elderly care services. At the same time, it covers 12 sub exhibition areas such as brand elderly care institutions, aging friendly revitalization, and elderly tourism, fully covering the entire industry chain of the silver economy. It is expected to gather more than 500 domestic and foreign merchants, attract over 4000 purchasing agencies and nearly 100000 visitors to attend.

Highlight 2: Empowering with characteristic exhibition areas, four new characteristic exhibition areas have been added that are close to technology and people's livelihood, including the exhibition area for elderly care humanoid robots and brain computer interface products, the theme exhibition area for innovative development of rehabilitation aids in the western region, the exhibition area for the 2026 Xi'an "Dragon Boat Festival" Silver Age Gathering for the benefit of the people, and the exhibition and job fair area for the exchange and display of elderly care service talents. These areas accurately present core needs such as cutting-edge elderly care technology, consumer welfare, and talent employment, making the exhibition more warm and practical.

Highlight 3: The conference activities are diverse, and an efficient docking platform will be established. The opening ceremony and more than 20 characteristic conference activities will be held, focusing on multiple core themes such as international cooperation, technological innovation, elderly care, elderly care finance, and industry education integration. Activities such as exchange and docking, achievement roadshows, and talent exchanges will be carried out to help all sectors discuss opportunities for the development of the elderly care industry and promote efficient resource linkage.

Highlight 4: Upgraded scene experience, immersive experience of elderly friendly achievements. Multiple characteristic experience scenes such as smart elderly care, aging friendly home, and silver haired cultural tourism products will be created on site. Through scene based presentation, the audience can intuitively experience cutting-edge elderly care solutions, achieving an immersive experience of "visible, tangible, and usable", further narrowing the distance between the elderly care industry and the public.

Highlight 5: Full media promotion, expanding brand influence. The organizing committee has established deep cooperation with media from all walks of life, relying on its own new media matrix to continuously promote participating enterprises and characteristic products from a new perspective and in various forms, comprehensively expanding the brand awareness and influence of the Xi'an Old Age Expo, and allowing more people to understand the development potential of the elderly care industry in Northwest China.

During the conference, officials from the Xi'an Civil Affairs Bureau and Guangdong Kuaicai Exhibition Co., Ltd., the organizers of the Xi'an Elderly Expo, had in-depth discussions and exchanges with the attending representatives. They reached a consensus on inviting relevant enterprises to participate in the fourth Xi'an Elderly Expo, and will work together to further enhance the internationalization level and industry influence of the exhibition, enabling international advanced elderly care concepts and technologies to be implemented in Xi'an and empowering the high-quality development of the elderly care industry in Northwest China.
