On April 22nd, the Guangzhou Silver Hair Economy Investment Promotion (Huangpu) and the 2nd Guangzhou Smart Health Care (Suitable for the Elderly) Equipment Innovation Design Competition with the theme of "Smart Silver Age, Linking Huangpu" were held at the Silver Hair Chain Global Selection Center (Junheng Square) in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. At the event, the second Guangzhou Smart Health Care (Elderly friendly) Equipment Innovation Design Competition was officially launched, and the 10th China (Guangzhou) International Elderly Care and Health Industry Expo 10th Anniversary Strategy was released.

It is reported that the 10th China (Guangzhou) International Elderly Care and Health Industry Expo (referred to as "Guangzhou Elderly Expo") will be held from August 21 to 23, 2026 at the China Import and Export Fair Exhibition Hall. It will be hosted by the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government, with specific responsibilities from the Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau, and has been listed as a key task in the 2026 Guangzhou Municipal Government Work Report. It will comprehensively upgrade and build a benchmark platform for the silver haired economy and ecological industry in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.

On site, the Silver Hair Chain Global Product Selection Center officially met with the public, and is expected to create a global silver hair industry resource docking platform that integrates product selection, display, trading, and incubation. It is reported that the Silver Hair Chain Industrial Park is located in Junheng Square, the core area of Science City in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. The total construction area of the project is 200000 square meters. The park is centered on the Silver Hair Economy full industry chain ecological platform, focusing on key directions such as aging friendly product service providers, smart elderly care technology enterprises, silver hair life service operators, silver hair consumer brands, and industry chain supporting service providers. It is equipped with a 50000 square meter all age intelligent sports park and is committed to building a benchmark industrial park for silver hair economy in the Greater Bay Area.

The reporter learned that Huangpu District is a leading demonstration zone for the development of the silver economy in Guangzhou. In recent years, it has taken the lead in introducing the country's first district and county-level "10 Measures for Silver Economy" special policy. Currently, it has gathered more than 600 high-quality silver economy enterprises and related industries with a scale of over 60 billion yuan.
