On the morning of July 4th, the "Love Chang'an and Enjoy Silver Age" - Xi'an 2025 "Silver Age Action" volunteer service activity was grandly launched in Xi'an. The event is hosted by the Xi'an Civil Affairs Bureau and the Office of the Municipal Elderly Work Committee. Li Pingwei, Deputy Director of the Municipal Aging Commission, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, attended the launching ceremony and delivered a speech.

As one of the highlights of this event, a "Silver Age Gathering" was set up on site. The civil affairs bureaus of various districts and counties in Xi'an, as well as some elderly care and health enterprises, actively participated in the exhibition and exchange. The 3rd Xi'an International Elderly Care Industry Expo (referred to as (Xi'an) EldExpo) actively set up exhibitions and provided deep support for this "Silver Age Gathering". The staff of the Elderly Expo enthusiastically promoted and issued invitations to the attending leaders, guests, and on-site audience, preheating and creating momentum for this Northwest elderly care event in advance, demonstrating the active response and resource support of the Elderly Expo as an important industry platform to the "Silver Age Action".

Li Pingwei emphasized that carrying out silver age volunteer services is a concrete practice to deeply implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on aging work and the important reply spirit to the representatives of the "Silver Age Action" elderly volunteers. To carry out the Silver Age Volunteer Service in 2025, we need to broaden the channels of participation, expand the participation from retired intellectuals to all elderly people, and achieve "voluntary participation and everyone can do it". To enrich the service content, based on the needs of the masses, organize elderly people to participate in diversified volunteer service projects such as grassroots democratic supervision, changing customs and traditions, dispute mediation, cultural and educational health, sports and fitness, care and assistance. To build a demonstration brand, carefully cultivate demonstration projects that reflect Xi'an's characteristics and meet the needs of the masses, focus on supporting, promoting, and comprehensively enhancing the visibility, recognition, and influence of the "Silver Age Action".

After the ceremony, the attending leaders and guests visited the lively "Silver Age Gathering" event together, with a focus on visiting the third Xi'an Old Expo Exhibition Area. They had in-depth exchanges on how to run this year's Old Expo well and empower the "Silver Age Action".

The 3rd Xi'an Old Expo will be held from September 18th to 20th, 2025 at Hall 1 and Hall 2 of Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center. It will be jointly hosted by the Xi'an Municipal People's Government and the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, and jointly organized by the Xi'an Civil Affairs Bureau, Xi'an Commerce Bureau, Xi'an Chanba International Port Management Committee, Guangdong Cross Procurement Exhibition Co., Ltd., and Shaanxi International Economic and Trade Exhibition Group Co., Ltd.

With the theme of "Qin style Silver Age Nourishing Chang'an", the third Xi'an Elderly Expo plans to showcase a scale of 32000 square meters, and is expected to attract more than 500 domestic and foreign elderly care enterprises to participate in the exhibition, showcasing over 3000 types of elderly care products and services, and welcoming more than 80000 professional visitors and citizens to visit and purchase. Through various forms such as exhibition displays, conference exchanges, supply and demand matching, cooperation signing, and visits and inspections, this year's Old Age Expo will strive to create the most influential platform for cooperation and exchange in the elderly care industry in the northwest region, promote the coordinated development of the elderly care industry and the elderly care industry, and provide stronger industrial support and innovation momentum for the high-quality development of Xi'an's "Silver Age Action" and silver haired economy.
