Hubei Provincial Disabled Aids Resource Center was established in July 1993. Its predecessor was Hubei Province Disabled Supplies Supply Service Center, which is a provincial-level network service station of China Disabled Aids Center. After more than 20 years of development, it has become one of the most influential professional rehabilitation institutions for the disabled in the province. It is the resource center and network hub for the disabled in China.

In 2014, the Center established the Adaptation Center for Disabled Persons in Hubei Province, which mainly assists the adaptation of assisted persons, the elderly, and dysfunctional persons and the accessibility of families. It provides more than 1,000 kinds of auxiliary equipment in 7 categories, including: Limbs, vision, hearing, intelligence, and life self-help devices, functional compensation devices, rehabilitation equipment, special education supplies, cultural and entertainment products, and barrier-free facilities for the disabled.
